DVD Prob

    can some one help. i was playing games using my dvd drive, and the thing froze. The drive wouldn't open up, so i manually opened it took out the cd and shut it. The computer now doesn't recognise the dvd player and theres nothing i can do.

    Sounds like it's had it.

    Do you have another system you can try it on?

    Do any of the lights come on as it's booting?

    none of the lights come on as its loading, and it shouldn't be had it - the systems only about 4 months old

    Just because it's 4 months old doesn't mean it can't have had it.

    If the lights aren't coming on, then it's more than just a Windows or software problem.

    Check the power cable going into the back of the unit, and try another cable that you know works.

    If you can check the unit on another system then that would be a great help.

    the things working now. i just unplugged the DVD and then plugged it back in again. thanks for the help
