Now I know that the highest French court ruled against this action a few days ago but I don't believe it's illegal in the United States. I've been searching for freeware that effeciently rips DVD's and encodes them into .avi format. All the ones I've used make the file size HUGE or result in horrible video and/or audio quality.

Are there any good ones out there for me to check out? Thank you.
