    My PC Specs first:
    Win7 Home
    AMD Athlon(tm)II X2 250
    4gb ram
    64 bit OS
hp CDDVDW TS-L633N SATA Cdrom Device

I am a paint shop pro user, keep all my psp/psd files on many discs. Have used my discs over and over. Trying to use one this last week that I have used before and each time I keep getting that the disc is empty, to burn files to it. I've dbl checked that it isn't empty at my sil's and it shows on her pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have alot of files (money) on my cd's

    Thanks,
    Dee

Unfortunately optical drives have been known to go bad. I suggest that you buy or borrow another drive to check this out. Also, check your connections on the MB and the drive. A new drive is fairly cheap($30 or less on Newegg. com).

I hope you have more than one copy of each disk too. Disks go bad.

For the moment, grab a USB stick or external hd, visit your sil and copy the contents of the disk to a USB stick or external drive. Take it back to your home and use it from there and then burn the contents to a different DVD.

ack gotcha, I did use a laptop yesterday, put the disc in and it did work on the laptop, has just not one mine :( which is weird as it has before, others do, seems it has a mind of it's own on which it will play and which it won't.
How do I check my connections on the MB and drive as stated above?
