   unclematty Private First Class

   I am using a Samsung DVD-Rom drive but when I look at windows explorer it shows as a regular cd drive. My DVD software obviously wont work with it. BTW -> Im using Win Xp
   
   Any help?

   Just Playin MajorGeek

   Go to My Computer then right-click on the drive, select properties. That will tell you what Windows identified as the drive type. Also, have you tried a DVD movie, just to be sure?
