DVD Running Times

I have copied a movie from my PC to a dvd using nero vision which has come with Nero 7. It works on my home DVD but only for 53 mins. The movie will play all the way through on my PC. I have tried other movies and they all stop playing on 53 mins.

Do i have to add chapters to the movie or am i just doing it wrong?

That's a very odd error. Have all the movies you've done that have had this issue been on the same batch of DVD R's? Maybe they have a slight fault which is overlooked by your dvd software on the pc, but not so by the stand alone dvd player. I use Nero 7 and can't find anything which would cause this to happen. I will look on though.

I have never broken a movie into chapters and I don't think that is your problem, but you have nothing to lose. Maybe you could get an answer at either AfterDawn or Doom9 both excellent dvd ripping/burning/authoring sites. Sorry I haven't been more help.

 

If your burning from avi or mpeg there is a program called dvd santa that will burn those files to dvd and break them into chapters but it's not free.
