dvd shrink problem.....please help!!!!!!!!

dvd shrink is comming up now,its compressing my dvd to 27% and then it quits and an error box appers and says that dvd shrink is outta memory,or virtual memory and that the file is too small to compleat and must shut down. im useing dvdfab to rip and dvdshrink to compress and dvd decriptor to burn and have dune about 5 moovies so far and i have them riped on to my desk top and i delete them after im dune dose any one know whats going on???????????????now i have cdburnerxp pro3,alcohol 120%,dvdw pro,and nero start smart,dose any of thes do as good as dvd shrink????or can some one tell me how to fix this problem????? please help!!!

well the first time i seen a eror message it said something abought windows has run outta virtual memoryand it was going to create some or some thing like that,so i figured some one would ask me that question and i went threw the prosess agen and this time it came up dvd shrink has encounterd a problem and needs to close. dvd shrink has run outta virtual memory and cannot compleet the task.and all i realy know is that it makes it abought 27% and thats when it comes up with that problem.what is virtual memory???? i have a 120gb hard drive and it says 84.9%free,ive only used 23.1% of it why am i getting this message???and it takes me abought an hr or so to get that far(into the dvd prosess)i mean i could watch a movie in the time it takes to completly go therw all three programs to burn a dvd. so what do you think?????

Running DVD Shrink ought to satisfy this rule.

If you plan on doing this kind of thing on a regular basis, you might want to buy and install more RAM. 512 MB minimum seems to be a good rule of thumb.

 

ummm,i allreddy have 512mb of memory in my computer,it came with it.my next step would be 1gb or 2gb,but memory costs a lot of money dosent it???

 

Did you check your virtual memoy? that is the nature of the error, unless I've misread your posts. As far as RAM, 512 MB should be plenty to do the job. other than this, I'm out of ideas.

 

where do i go to find out how much ram i have??????this is the actual message.........................

not enough storage is avalible to prosess this comand.
thats exactly what it says now when i run it and yes i have checked my virtual memory,i changed it so it would have more.....now last i knew the computer has 512mb of ram.
