DVD Shrink Problem

hey, just today, after i uninstalled Nero, I started having problems with DVD Shrink. When using DVD Shrink, I select "Backup" as always. And after it backs up the files onto my computer, I get this error message:

Curious, because before, DVD Shrink would request that I insert a blank DVD-R into the disc drive. But now it doesn't. I've tried uninstalling both Nero and DVDShrink, Then I cleaned the registry which cleared all the broken parts of Nero and DVDShrink. Then I installed Nero 6.6.1.4, and then I installed DVD Shrink 3.2 after that. And I'm still getting the same error. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I'm running out of ideas to try myself. Thanks in advance!

 

To my knowledge Nero is the only burner that dvd shrink will burn with, have not played with it that much to know for sure, somebody correct me if im wrong. ed

 

You uninstalled Nero? I believe DVDshrink uses the Nero API to do the actual burning by using the available Nero Libraries referenced through the registry. So Nero has to be installed. That being said, installing Version Y Nero over Version X Nero isn't always successful. You will have to use their cleaning tool.

Next - Nero 6.6.1.4 doesn't seem to work with DVDShrink 3.2, and I don't know why. So, if you can, load up 6.6.0.18 which will work OK with DVDShrink. You can use the serial number that came with your 6.6.1.4 subscription.
