I have used DVD shrink to rip a home movie from a DVD to my hard drive. How can I watch this movie from my hard drive.

    Many thanks.

If you install KLite Codec Pack you should be able to watch them without interruptions with Windows Media Player. At least it has worked on all of our machines. Just click on the first VOB file in Video_TS folder, if prompted select to open file with Windows Media Player. If at first you don't succeed, reboot.

It comes in three sizes and can be removed through Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel. If you decide to install another codec pack, as there are many available, uninstall this one. You should only use one codec pack at a time.
As of late I am watching them on PCLinuxOS 2007. Nothing to add or install, plays without a hitch, even on a 1.3 GHz processor with 384MB of RAM. I am presently using Linux the Live CD, PuppyLinux works with DVD's as well. We use VLC Media Player to watch QuickTime .mov files, and not have the need to install Apple's QuickTime.
