   I am seeing a number of websites that tout software that can copy your DVD to CD. e.g. http://www.dvdshrinkpro.com/ This is not making any sense to me as CD is an audio format, DVD a video. Would one play the CD they made and get video on their tv? Any clarity appreciated?

   CD is not an audio format.
   
   You can make video CD's (VCD) or Super Video CD (SVCD).
