DVDPlayer

I have a DVD drive on my system with XP. I need the DVD Decoder for it. I have the win98E cd (the dvd's played fine when i had 98SE). Is what I'm lookin for somewhere on this CD? Thanx.

Also, If i have win 98, can i update it to 98SE with the Cd or online? thanks.

Was your DVD drive a retail boxed one and if so did it come with any software.. if answer YES then you will proberbly find a DVD player/decoder on the CD.......

You can use the Win98SE version of mediaplayer as it did have a DVD decoder built in AFAIK.

Other than that you will need to purchase as DVD player program eg. NvDVD, PowerDVD etc

The Dvd is an internal drive that came with my Laptop (thats the comp i'm havin this problem with).I have interactual player 2.0 and Pc Friendly.

The latest version of Media Player Classic has a built in mpeg1/2 codec. That should allow for DVD playback. Plus, it's free.
