I check the ads. Someone has them close to half-price almost every week. I've gotten them at K-mart, Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot and Radio Shack. I look for about $12.99 for 50 pack, 25 to 30 cents each. (I don't like the 100 pack because it is an awkward shape to me.)

Also try Shoplocal.com and type in "blank media". My DVDROM likes TDK and Sony blanks. So I limit my search to those two brands. This week Radio Shack has 50 TDK for $10.99 and Kmart has 50 Sony for $11.99.

The only brands I have had multiple bad burns on are Memorex and Radio Shack brand. Now if I can't get the brands I want, I go to another store rather than just grab something to get through. The cheap brands aren't worth saving a dollar or two or skipping the trip to another store. Burning takes time and having to redo it two or three times is aggravating. :(
