Dvr Recording Software

So i can pull streaming video on my computer. Is there any software that will let me save this video and let me set a start and stop time?

Streaming video websites, I can access any channel using cable (in the form of URLs ). Thank you I will check them out. Things like network TV, or Netflix, or Disney+. Who's going to be stuck indoors you might as well enjoy it.

 

Streaming services do have some DRM in the form of their CDM -- Content Decryption Module. Someone posted downloaders on GitHub and was offering to sell the "keys" the part that actually decrypts the DRM. Some services do allow you to download content for offline viewing too.

 

The only problem I see so far is I don't see a timed recording option. For example I want to tape CBS from 11:00 to 11:30 AM to catch their news. I do not see the option on any of these streaming downloaders. For me that is a deal breaker. I'm looking for something that emulates a VCR.

in the old days you could do this with a bat file, that doesn't seem to be an option anymore.

 

I think I have found my package, or at least the one I am going to use. It is open broadcast software (OBS). I believe it is open source, it does not have the timer option but it does everything else well I did not need something that would hack a pay service since I pay for my services. I just needed something to capture a streaming URL. Thank you everyone who has helped me with this another problem down.

Long term they may even add the timed feature if I suggest it.
