Did you ever go back to school or get financial aid squared away?

Just being nosey as I ponder my (lack of) worth as my last 3 weeks of my degree count down.

    Unfortunately, no. :(

The only option they offered me was stupid, I mean, student loans. As much as I wanted to I just can't see me ever being able to pay back over 90K in loans (plus interest) especially considering it's not even a guarantee I'll get a job in that field when I graduate.

My sister said I should try again next year since my income will be much, much less this year than it was last. I don't know, I might, but I don't know if I want to get my hopes up to get them dashed again.

I'm envious that you got to do what you wanted and that are so close to finishing. I don't think you should doubt yourself, you'll do great in no matter what you do. :)

I looked at that website and it looked really promising, until it stated in order for me to take the course I wanted, I already had to have bachelor's in (any) IT field. Kind of defeats the point, for me anyway.

I've had people ask me why don't you just take a different course or a different subject all together? I have this thing (I guess you could call it a problem :-D) where if I'm doing something and I get bored with it, I stop doing it. So if I take a course that I'm not at all interested, especially if it's something I'm paying to do, I can see it ending not very well.

A lot of people seem to tell me I should do something just for the sake of having something. I don't really see it that way, if I'm going to invest time, money & effort then I at least want do something that I'm interested in. I know so many people that have jobs they don't like simply because they felt like they should just be doing something. I don't want to be one of those people.

That can't be right, Many people get an associates and go there. Not required, but recommended to have an AA.

Ok, I seemed to have missed the part that said this program is to obtain your Masters. This makes sense now.

But they don't have a program to obtain your Associates or Bachelors first.

Not Associates, no, but you can do a straight Bachelor's. The AA is only recommended.

For Bachelor's, it is an undergrad degree:

    For Undergraduate Programs
    Apply for admission
Have earned a high school diploma or GED
Submit official transcripts of all prior academic work completed at community colleges, colleges, or universities you’ve attended.
Must be at least 16 years of age
Meet any program-specific admissions requirements (see below)
Interview with a WGU Enrollment Counselor to determine “fit” with WGU’s expectations

    The IT B.S. degrees:

    B.S. Information Technology
    B.S. Information Technology—Network Administration
B.S. Information Technology—Network Design and Management
    B.S. Information Technology—Security
    B.S. Information Technology—Software
    B.S. Health Informatics
