DyFuCA.InternetOptimizer?????

I ran a search in Major Geeks posts for DyFuCA.InternetOptimizer and came up empty.


I just finished running Spybot - Search & Destroy and had DyFuCA.InternetOptimizer come up as a problem. In "PROBLEM" it says
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Policies\AvenueMedia
"KIND" Registry key

When I select "Fix Selected Problems" a warning dialog box comes up saying,
"Some problems couldn' be fixed; the reason could be that the associated files are still in use (in memory). This could be fixed after a restart. May Spybot-S&D run on your next system startup? Yes or No

I said yes and the whole process repeats itself. Any suggestions?
I'm running Windows 98 on this particular computer.

Did you run Spybot in Safe Mode and try to fix?

Attach a HJT log and sombody will take a peek as time permits.

Is this related to your thread here? Major Dialer Problem!!!

Thanks for responding PhilliePhan.

The major dialer problem was a friends problem and asked if I would post for him. He has since had a Computer Geek friend help him out at home and resolve his problem.

For my current problem, I will take your advice and try in safe mode. I Googled last night this DyFuCa and came up at another tech web site with a person with the same problem and so far hasn't had much luck.

I will give your advice a try.
