E: drive now empty

not sure if this is the correct location for my problem and I apologize in advance if it is the wrong place.

was just hit with the fakealert virus. I was able to recognize it and finally able to remove it. I am now trying to clean up the mess it created. I have been able to unhide a lot of the files and folders that it hide but I am having a real problem trying to get my external drive (e:\) to unhide the "My Documents" folder that has all my family photos, family vids and other important files.

when I go to computer it says that I have 865gb free of 930 but when I click on the drive it says its empty, when I saw that my heart sank. when I go to the cmd and change to the e:\ and type dir /ah I see the "My Documents" folder. How do I unhide this folder. I have tried the "attrib -h e:\My Documets" but I get a wrong parameter error. if I can remember correctly dos doesn't recognize spaces in a file or folder name but I could be wrong about that. I have gone to the folder options in control panel to show all folder but that didn't help.

Was hoping someone could help.
