E-mail account emptied and nonfunctional

All of my e-mail contacts have received a bogus e-mail from me and my account is totall empty (no mail or contacts remain). I am not receiving any messages and I cannot send any messages.

I have been unable to speak to any live person with Bellsouth or AT&T and none of the online help has led me anywhere.

My account is a "bellsouth.net" account in association with AT&T.

Anybody have any ideas as to what I should do?

 

You really need to speak to someone at your ISP to resolve this.

Do they have a "chat" option on their support page? I have had good results in chats when needed and the language issue does not come into play if the support is outsourced. Also, the chat is usually not as scripted as phone support.
(You do get some canned replies at the start and end of the chat.)
