E-mail been misbehaving

Hi all,

I recently built a new PC and went through the hell of installing XP again. As with all new XP installs if you don't patch it right away you get that virus shutdown thing which I got but updated fast enough to get rid of. Problem appeared today or the last 3 days at least when Outlook and Thunderbird wouldn't download my webmail messages. I only figured it out just now when I found my pop server address had been changed to an IP address for both Tiscali mail and bulldog mail. The same IP on both accounts. Has this happened to anyone else and should I now change my identity?
