robertbiferi I can't follow the rules

I am useing ThunderBird for my e mail.

I whent through all the Settings in Tools to set it up but I think I am missing one thing.

Where is the Settings to have ThunderBird Delete e mail after it gets it for you?

I have ThunderBird setup to get all my e mail when I start it. But I want it to Delete it from the Server and not leave copies on the server after it gets it??

You don't get any delete option until you click on a message in your inbox, when four icons appear at the bottom right of the message window. The rightmost of the four deletes all selected messages. Alternatively you can right click a message header and delete it from the dropdown menu. You can select multiple messages by holding down Ctrl while selecting them.

If you are using a POP account (as opposed to IMAP) the messages are automatically removed from the server when you receive them in TBird.

This is for the current version 8. Earlier versions may be different.

It was the other way around in OE - messages were automatically deleted unless you ticked a box to leave a copy on the server. The default setting in both OE and TBird is not to leave a copy on the server, which is what you want.
