E-Mail Troubles

Apparently my E-mail address got on one of those lists. I’ve been swamped with offers for low cost meds, high cost party girls, and porn.
My current provider is Windows live mail. I’m looking for suggestions for a new E-mail address and/or a new provider.

 

Mail.google.com - I love my gmail account.
Or you can open another live account.

 

Does your ISP not have E-mail addresses available to you??
Here in Belgium my ISP is Telenet and i get 3 free E-mail addresses with my account and they have spam filters built in.

 

My ISP, as far as I know does not provide the addresses, just the internet
access. My current hot mail is Windows live mail. My ISP , CenturyLink,
does have their own E-mail. I've used it and I don't like the way it works.

 

An update. I found that I didn't have my settings correctly set. did my best
to correct things and a huge amount of junk mail went away. :hyper

I have been forwarding junk mail to spam@uct.gov

Question: What would happen if I started forwarding junk mail back to it's
source, or to one of the, many, many, blocked addresses? :-D

 

I would still recommend Google Mail. The spam filters are good, and I find the overall experience to be better than Hotmail. I like being able to easily make custom filters (e.g. when receiving email from a certain address, label it suchandsuch).
