DO NOT BID , DO NOT BID , DO NOT BID , DO NOT BID

MAKE SURE IT'S NOT A SCAM !! IF THEY WANT YOU TO EMAIL THEM DIRRECTLY AND NOT USE THE " ASK THE SELLER " BUTTON , I'LL GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE JUST NOW I TYPED ALIENWARE IN EBAY AND GOT A LIST OF ABOUT 105 AUCTIONS I THEN SEARCHED FOR THE CHEAPEST ALIENWARE LAPTOP (SAME IN OTHER ITEMS ALSO NOT JUST THE ALIENWARE OR LAPTOPS COULD BE IN DELL OR TV'S) AND CLICKED IT WELL THE FIRST THING IT SAID ON THE DISCRIPSION WAS DO NOT USE THE " ASK THE SELLER BUTTON " THAT MY EMAIL IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY . WELL I DID EXACTLY THAT I HIT THE ASK THE SELLER AND ASKED THEM IF THIS WAS HIS AUCTION OR HAD SOMEONE STOLE HIS EBAY ID AND WAS TRYING TO STEAL MONEY FROM OTHER EBAYERS BY POSTING FAKE EBAY AUCTIONS , AND GUESS WHAT THEY NEVER LISTED ANY THING FOR SELL , IT WAS A SCAM , SO CHECK IT OUT MAKE SURE YOU LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP!!!!
Please Read intire page.Well hello there my name is liz , i'am a stay at home mom and i have been searching for a wireless laptop here on ebay for a month now and i have put alot of time in to comparing and finding the right laptop well i found something out about ebay that i wish i had known sooner , there are alot of ebay scams going on , and i wanted to pass on what i have found out,

Well first i saw a good deal on a nice alienwear laptop and i was biding on it, and of course i got out bid , they are so expensive go figure, great laptop = high price , well 2 days after it ended i was still checking and guess what there it is again , the auction was exactly the same but with 4 different elements the sellers ebay id was different , completely two different people , second one was location of item , and payment instead of paypal they wanted money order or wire transfer , and of course they did not want you to email them through ebays " ask seller question" button they wanted you to email them to a totaly different email , a direct email , Well I did exactly what they wanted me not to do I hit the "ask the seller" button and asked if this was his items that were listed and of course he was upset , THEY WERE NOT HIS ITEMS SOMEONE STOLE HIS EBAY ID AND WAS USING IT he emailed be back thanking me and he contacted ebay so they could end the auctions or reported them i guess ( we all hope anyway) well then i emailed the scamer and asked them about the auction you know just trying to see what they would say well of course they said they wanted to sell the item and i needed to send them money , so watch out ebayers don't send the money except through paypal or local pick up unless you are sure , sure and even more sure that you are not just donating to the SCAMERS of ebay ,the email address was RUFF3XZ@YAHOO.COM AND THE NAME THEY GAVE ME WAS CYNDY CARMENS , PROBLY NOT THE REAL NAME OF THIS SCAMER, they have alot of different emails so watch out ,, well i thought that was it done with well a couple of days later i was checking again when i finally got away from the kids and what to my surprise there it is again same laptop same discription ,even the same pics , and when you clicked on some of the pics it took you to the ebay orginal auction , i guess the scamers were so busy putting up new scams they did not have time to check this , the works but of course different seller ebayer , location , and payment type, email was ruff3xz @ yahoo.com again well i did it again contacted the ebayer seller through ask seller a question , and asked if these were there items and of course they where shocked they did not beleive that there was items there , they never sold any thing on ebay , just bought stuff ,

Well this same thing has been happening for a straight month and is upseting these people are ruining ebay i am probly going to best buy this week to buy a laptop because i would rather spend extra money to have a laptop than to lose money on no laptop, i think ebay has to do something more with this and i feel they are not , i just wanted to let everyone know what is going on , because before this last month i had no idea of how many scams are on ebay .i have sold stuff and bought alot of things and never ran into this problem , and i thought if i could help out anyone with letting them know that maybe other people will catch on and try and make ebay alittle bit safer , so heres my advise check your ebay selling and if you did not list it end it and contact ebay , check and check somemore before sending money check feedback check history check and see if they sold before , one scam was on a guy who only bought harley stuff and never sold anything on ebay before, and the scamer tried listing stuff like laptops and tv's all ending in one day , with a different email this guy was amazed when he found out someone stole his id , so check it all and then bid , well i hope this has helped thanks for reading and good luck on your auctions , If this has happened to you and you want to talk about then email me. If you would like more and better details email me , SCAMERS are NOT welcome , I was raised with " WHAT GOSE AROUND WILL DIFFENITLY COME BACK AROUND AND BITE YOU ON THE BUTT " SO WATCH OUT SCAMERS THEY ARE COMING FOR YOU !!!!!!!!

thanks for the heads up Tourangh... in the future it would be alot easier reading a post this long if you used periods =]

As far as that Ebay scammer goes... the likelihood that us Ebay users will come across this exact seller is very slim... you will be fine buying a laptop off Ebay, just find a seller with LOTS of feedback... someone with feedback in the 100's and over 95% is likely very safe to buy from... also look for a seller that allows returns, in case your product is damaged while being shipped...

I bought some expensive electronics parts on Ebay not too long ago and found sellers with feedback in the 1000's... i was very comfortable buying from them because i knew if they had hundreds of satisfied customers who left positive feedback, that the likelihood of them scamming me or ripping me off was very slim to none...

bottom line, if the auction looks too good to be true, it probably is... always find a seller who's got alot of feedback, and look to see what kinds of items they were selling... sometimes the scammers will sell ridiculous items for $0.99 and then have a friend win the auction to boost their feedback ratings to make them seem like legitamate sellers... i saw one scammer do this by selling "hair pins".. go figure...

DO NOT USE THE " ASK THE SELLER BUTTON " THAT MY EMAIL IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY .

I think this is a good indicator of a potential problem. It was smart of you to do just that.
