Egyptian haker

Could someone please tell me what is egytian hak or hacker is , my friend has recently installed hme edition on there pc they also have xp pro already on there which seems to be something to do with this EGYP HAK thing i thought i had got rid of it but now its back, now when my friend boots up it gives a choice of pro or hme edition when trying to load up home edition the screen goes blue with just a EGG timer symbol on there , could anyone help its driving me crazy:mad THNXS

 

i can not be certain but this sounds like the disk or download is corrupt, does it come from a reputable source if so get in touch with the supplier

 

Thnx for replying The xp edition that was installed was done by someone they knew i dont know where it came from , is there a version of xp professional that is called egyptian hak or similar or is it a virus , it wont let you get into control panel or change anythin ,i even created a restore point when i thought i sorted the problem but cant even restore it ! the hme edition is genuine should i do fresh install?

 

i have googled egyptian hak and all the sites seem to be Warez it also seems to be a derivative of vista but there are better qualified members here than me so hopefully you will get a result later on when our american friends come on line.
