I just saw a trailer for this show and I think it looks really cool. It's coming to CBS on October 9th after CSI. The premise of it really intrigues me, I like the idea of science fact when making a TV series. Being plausible is a huge plus for me when it comes to dramas, especially ones like this that are crime based. This is a definite watch for me. For those of you that don't know this is from the CBS site:

Yep, I'll be recording this show. I think it looks interesting. :)

I think there are a lot of interesting looking shows coming out this season. Of course, we'll see how they actually pan out.

I thought Fringe was really good. The Mentalist looks decent too.

The show premieres this Thursday, I'm really anxiously awaiting this. I'm totally interested in the premise, "science fact" seems like a really cool thing to use as the backdrop for a show. Plus with (totally underrated) Rufus Sewell in the title role, we're going to have a smart and passionate Dr. Hood to follow from episode to episode.

well, you know what Hollywood and politicians do with 'facts'.rolleyes Anyways, I'll give this a shot.

@Laura The Mentalist has left me cool though The Fringe was a thumbs up in my book.

I myself actually like the liberties hollywood takes with facts. It is, afterall, there for entertainment. ;)

Yep on the Mentalist and Fringe. I agree with you. I'm giving Mentalist one more try, but I Love Fringe. The chemistry and humor remind me of Bones, which another show I really like.

I'll be watching Eleveth Hour, whoay. :)

I don't mind too much except for people that believe it as fact. I mean, whenever I see a movie or TV show, I have to turn my 'reality sensor' way down or off. I remember one episode where Montana on CSI:NY was going to make a program in BASIC or something to solve a crime in two hours. Give me a break.:-D

    lol...I remember that episode.

It seems that computers are where they take the most liberty. Everything is done in super sonic time.....I guess 'cause computer are just that fast! :-D

The best is when they have to sneak into an office, find a supersecret encoded file, insert CD, copy all files to said CD....all in the 2 minutes or less the person is gone from the office.

Have you guys stuck with Eleventh Hour? I enjoyed the second ep a lot too, it definitely got sad there for a few minutes when Dr. Hood went to meet with the parents of the deceased boys. Interesting story line though, and Hood is a really smart guy, from all that talk about plants and frogs and other toxins....whew, way over my head!
I noticed the was some tension between that botanist and Hood too, seems like they are giving him occasional human moments, I guess there is a heart underneath all that heady knowledge of science.

Yup, I watched it. Pretty interesting, what with an 11 year old psycho-geek.:-D

I've only managed to watch the first ep. of 11th Hour. Looks pretty interesting. Yeah, an at least quasi-scientific background always makes the show more interesting, imo. The old excuses of aliens, the supernatural, or just plain magic are getting a bit old these days.

I tend to concurr that the Fringe is pretty good, the Mentalist pretty much so-so. imo.

I liked Eleventh Hour. I'll keep watching.

I love Fringe. It's got great humor in it and I think an interesting premise.

The Mentalist is a bit hokey for me and not all that interesting.
