emachines 5250 audio drivers

i have an emachines t5250 which was not operating well so i used the restore disk that came with it, now i have now sound, i tried to down load the drivers from the emachines site and even contacted their support but still have no sound, anyone got any ideas how to rectifiy this.

 

:confused I went to the EMachine web site, and there is no model T5250. I tried to Google "EMachine T5250" and again no results came up (plenty of T5250 results came up, but none were for EMachine, they were for something called 'Aura').
Can you double check the model number, and/or provide an Everest report as an attachment? Thanks....

However.... try installing the Microsoft UAA HD Audio update, known as KB888111. I'm assuming you're using Windows XP. If not using XP, then DO NOT install this update, and provide the Everest report. You can download the KB888111 installer from this link.

its a t5052 guess i was typing too fast and did not proof read.

 

I don't suppose you could tell us what version of Windows you're running? Please include the service pack number too. If running XP, did you try installing the UAA update I linked to?

(the Everest report would be helpful too)

Thanks Dan.... I didn't provide links because the EMachine web site has separate drivers for both XP and Vista, and I didn't want to provide the wrong ones...

 

I noticed something there about Vista upgrade?, but the machine comes stock w/ XP Media Edition. Since the poster mention reloading w/ the Restore Disk(s) I anticipated XP -ME. In retrospect, I should have stated that in my post.
