email being swamped!

    I've rec'd over 600 of the same email from the same sender (in my address book) tonight. It's coming in over & over again every minute like clockwork! I sent the sender several emails, with no response. I blocked them, but they're still coming into my inbox. What can I do? I'm on MS Outlook & Norton 360.

    Help, please :cry

    Hi

    Its it the same exact email address and blocking didnt stop it? a Rule on that email to delete it should work, and info HERE and HERE on creating Rules in Outlook (is for OL 2003 but is same for all) and just add that email address as the one to delete.

    Is this a person you know? if so its very likely they have malware on their PC and you need at some point to contact them if you can by other means to have them clean up their PC.

    I appreciate your help! I've got it set now so all his email goes directly to my deleted items. Unfortunately, the only option to permanently delete is once a day & that's not quick enough. The message is coming in again every few seconds & it's filling up my quota on my server, bouncing back incoming emails, not just his. I can't possibly sit here emptying my deleted items folder every minute all day long. What to do now?

    Problem solved! I contacted RoadRunner & they walked me through setting up a filter on their end to block all emails from this person. Phew! What a nightmare! Thx for your help, too.
