Email reminder

    Probably add this to FAQ soon, but if you want to use automatic email response to any thread and are using spam, please add majorgeeks.com as a trusted email. This is especially for those using email programs that require you authenticate ANY email that comes in. We have never used emails here for spam, and would never sell or even pay attention to your email.

    When possible, I respond to automated spam filters to verify our email address so you can receive these emails, but some days, this can be time consuming.

    Some of you may not be aware of which programs these may be. AOL 9.0+ You'll get it all in your spam. Earthlink, Mindspring, Comcast, etc. - if you don't pre allow it, it will get bounced back immediately without someone to approve the e-mail going through, and noone has time to do that. Hotmail, Yahoo, Check your bulk/spam mail. Gmail, check it just incase, especially if you get alot of spam.

    thought i'd chime in :) This i learned the unpleasant way, from offering technical support to people that could not recieve technical support.

    You are the judge of that... an email client is only as secure as you make it.

    Personally I use thunderbird and I love it, but then a lot of people use Windows Media Player and love it but I don't.

    I'm with goldfish on this one. Turn on Spam Checking, update your spam filters, configure your AV scanner to work with your email client.

    I really like Thunderbird, compact, fast, and stable.

    Heyho eclayton! I know, I've never managed to work that one out myself .... :D

    Your CD is now a permenant item in my record collection, by the way, and some of the tracks come up when I least expect it to on shuffle. Always fun, the shuffle function! :)
