Hi all. Is anyone familiar with this neat little program? Here's a description of it:

Email Remover can save you the trouble of downloading unwanted email. It connects to your ISP and retrieves mail header information (sender, subject, date, etc.), letting you pick mail you don't want to receive and deleting it from the mail server. It will optionally run your regular email client when it's done so that you can transfer and read the mail you do want. Email Remover is a handy little spam blocker in the never-ending battle against spam -- and it's free!.

I really love using it, but lately I've been having problems with it and was wondering if there's a fix. It'll download all the email headers OK, and I can choose which ones I want to delete. But when I answer "yes" to the ones I've chosen, it returns an error message "Cannot delete Mail (2, 4, etc.). Socket not connected."

I can randomly choose to delete 2 or 3, but then I have to start all over again to get 3 or 4 more until I finally get them all. My neighbor uses the same prog. on her Win 7 machine and her's is doing the same thing. Could it have something to do with our email server as we both have the same company for internet service? (Frontier.com) Just a thought.

I know there are later versions available, but they all behave the same way,. Thanks in advance for help with getting this dandy little prog. to behave again. If any other info is needed, just let me know.

    Win XP Home Premium
    DSL always on Inernet connection
    Avast A/V
all Win updates up to date

Thanks for the reply Nick. I'm aware of the link u provided and emailed them WEEKS ago. Still no reply, but I'll give it another shot. Maybe somebody might ck. their email this time around--or maybe THEY don't know of a fix.
