Enable Administrator Account in Windows Vista



This account is a full blown Admin account, and UAC does not get applied to it, ever. Which is nice, because disabling/enabling UAC requires reboots, and you lose Protected Mode in Internet Explorer.

So, lets start, shall we? Open a command prompt with elevated rights:

Start Orb, in the search box, type cmd.exe.
Press CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER. A UAC prompt will come up. Click OK. Once the command prompt comes up, type the following:
net user administrator /active:yes
Hit ENTER.
Log out and log into the Administrator account on the welcome screen. You now have unbridled control.
To disable the Administrator account, just follow the same instructions again, except this time type:
net user administrator /active:no
Hit ENTER. Now the account is turned off. If you decide to keep the account enabled, make CERTAIN you password protect it!

 

Truthfully? Its dangerous information in the wrong hands.

That and it isn't that popular of a subject to require sticky status, imo.
