Enabling Power Save-Help plz!

    I just finished building my first computer, when I went to turn it on and install the OS it flashes "Enabling Powersave Mode" and turns off, the motherboard is a Asus P5N-E SLI, and I can't figure out whats wrong. I have all the proper cords attatched properly from what my friend and I can see, but so far nothing we can think of is working, help please!

    Are you sure it is the cpu giving the message, not the monitor?

    If it is the mobo see if you can get to the bios on power up and switch off the mode.

    How are you installing the os? Have you already got to bios to set the cd as first boot device?
