Energy Saving tip of the Week

Me being the environmentally friendly person that I am, I thought I'd share some energy saving tips with you guys

This weeks tip:
Turning your thermostat down by 1°C could cut your heating bills by up to 10%. And if you're going away for winter, leave the thermostat on a low setting to provide protection from freezing at minimum cost. Saving: around £30 ($58) per year.

My physics teacher actually has solar water tanks on his roof, he can't rely on them, he still needs a boiler to heat water but they take a significant ammount off the gas bill, even in winter

i think there are hills where star lives what about Bok Sanctuary when you are there you can see for miles

Wanted to to my bit for the environment with those high tech windmills, but this is all I can afford right now.................

 

If I save a few kilowatts do the fuel rods at the nuke plant up the road last longer? Do your share for the environment and get a bicycle powered computer. Here on Gilligans island....

 

Geek tips... Trade in your CRT monitor for an LCD. My 19" LCD only draws 35 watts. And shut the computer down overnight when you're not using it.
