English(u.s.)

I find my Word 2003 often reverts to English(u.s.) from English(Oz). It also seems to appear permanently in the Tools/Language/Set Language above the double line.

Does anybody know how to wipe it out permanently? Microsoft don't quite understand what I want, and offer random notes.

 

I know exactly what you mean, especially considering the fact that Americans can't spell.

You must have your keyboard (if applicable) and Regional and Language Options (Control Panel) set to Australian for Word to use Australian English.

 

I've attached a screenshot.

Don't forget to click Details in the Languages tab and set the keyboard as Aussie.

Thanks. I've tried that, and I've used that Microsoft Office/Microsoft office Tools/Microsoft Office 2003 Language Settings.

 

So you're saying it's still not working?

Do you have it set to Australian in all the tabs?

Is the keyboard set to Australian as per the screenshot?


It should work as it's a long known issue down here, and that is the solution.
