My first thought was with all the money he has hidden, could he have "faked" his death and cover it up to avoid prison?
Sorry if I am being cynical. but I wouldn't put it past him.

Why not have a try, its not like he'd get any more time in jail he's gonna die there anyway,anyone with half a brain would try and fake his own death he has the money and the motive,if you can buy the guy doing the autopsy to doctor the dental records or have yours removed from the database and then get a positive ID from a family member your home free

I dont see why the judge wouldnt consider him a flight risk,the guys looking at spending the rest of his short life in jail who's not gonna try and make a break,you'd be stupid not to and just because he was caught out by the law doesnt mean any favours he has owing from powerfull people ie. George Bush wont be cashed in,shame George Bush didnt lose the election he cudda had a presidential pardon,the presidential pardon thats a whole other morality debate

Many, not all, Washington politicians...especially in the Senate...are screwing over far more people than Lay ever did in the private sector. Try to see the big picture here. Reveling in the man's death is useless. No one is more dishonest and nauseating than some of the men and women in Congress. Ditto for the ultra liberals and leftists in America.
