I have a dell Pentium 350 Mhz pc I recently bought a scanner and it doesn’t seem to be connecting. I go to device manger and it shows up that the parallel port is ECP. The scanner is a EPP. I cannot seem to switch the port to a EPP. I go to the BIOS and it does not seem to give me the option of switching to EPP. When I go to test it does do a preview and scans to the PC. I have all the drivers and I know the cable is good seen the test works. Does this mean I need a BIOS upgrade? The scanner is a scanmaker X6
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
