EQ2 & Doom 3 Help / System unstable

I recently installed a new ATI Radeon X800 XL and a Creative Labs Audigy 2 Value card. I went from an NVidia 5500 and Sound Blaster Live 5.1. My system has become very unstable, I have checked my drivers, bios, uninstalled and reinstalled. Even my Norton Security System is now having problems because they are saying there is a conflict with Creative Labs.

Symptoms are as follows:
EQ2 - Regular client crashes to desktop, making game unplayable.
Doom 3 - Game plays for a few seconds at the most before crashing to the desktop.

Both these crashes end up in the Windows "so and so" program has encounterd an error and has shut down. Prompting to send a report or not to.

Anyone have any thoughts? Ill send any info on my system under msconfig or whatever.

 

reinstall properly using driver cleaner; then install your drivers. If problems persist reinstall; this issue needs a sticky http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

 

Not too sound like a total noob but. What do you mean? and whats a driver cleaner?

you want to uninstall both your nvidia and ati drivers and your creative drivers and previous sound drivers then goto safe mode and use driver cleaner to uninstall all of those drivers .. then reboot and install your ati and creative drivers
