to a location that is unavailable.

I get this message on boot, xp home.

There is no f: drive displayed in the my computer??

This is a friend of mines computer which he took in to a repair shop. They told him the hard drive was bad, they told him the cpu was bad, they then sold him a new machine for big bucks.

Machine gets horribly slow, can't install zone alarm, windows updates are killing the machine the list goes on.

This has kaaza and limewire AAARGH. I think I can bring it back up to speed with a couple days of foolin with it.

It is loaded with all sorts of anti virus and pop up killer, but the zone alarm pro is not working and the zone alarm free will not load.

I can't find the original software disks, and this seems to be missing some OS components.

and the admin settings will not load in safe mode

Any ideas on this f:drive issue?

 

Have you tried looking in the StartUp folder? Look at the program AutoRuns to see what is being loaded.
