This concerns "Error in dll.Scan_Start: External exception C0000006"

I bought Spydoctor this morning and it found over 300 instances of spyware. After a few hours I noticed that when I left computer for a while the startup task bar would disappear. Only by manually shutting off computer could I get it to restart and it would look fine .... but then I ran Spydoctor again and found that everytime it neared end the "Error in dll.Scan_Start: External exception C0000006" would come uyp and kill the scan.

Moreover, it seems highly suspicious that each scan from Ewido and Spy bot now come up with very few spyware in their scans.

Something is definitely attacking my computer. I truly need help. Again, I have tried all the scans. Ad-aware's new version never seems to work on my computer and this new spydoctor as stated is what flushed the error messsage each time since on scans towards the end.

I have run AntiVir, Ewido, Spybot, and Spy doctor all to no avail.
PLEASE HELP ME REMOVE WHATEVER IS DOING THIS!@

I ran bitscan and it took forever to scan and when all was said and done found only 1 infection. I am now running ravantivirus and that is taking forever as well and yet doesn't appear to identify infections as they come in!

For the future I want to get suggestions on a good firewall. I bought the norton and ghostware priogras but found them to be horried. I had sucvh a bad experience not being able to access my email that I gave up on it and depended on XP's build in firewall. Now here I am 7 hours later and still scanning my computer to find the cuplrit.

I have ewido, spybot, spydoctor, avg, and antivir and still I get infected

What can you suggest for firewalls for my wireless desktop >? I use a wirless router. I also have a network with a laptop and my son's desktop connected ... I do not want to risk losing the connections or email acess like before.

    Any great free ones?

    Thanks
