Running ME...My system is rendering my programs practically non functional. It keeps terminating any program that I'm using when I try to delete, maximize a window, spell check, etc...I can't get into add/delete programs, update window online, etc. I am receiving the following error: "An error has occurred, to continue press enter to return to windows or pres CTL+ALT+DEL to restart your computer. If you do this, you will lose any unsaved information in all open applications Error: OE : 0187 : BFF8E64B"

    RiverSoldier,

What version of Word or Office do you have? Also, the OE : 0187 : BFF8E64B should be just one of the errors, any others like a Winword error?

    Steve,

I am not receiving any winword errors. An exampler of another error is: when the screen dies after I attempt an operation , I sometimes receive "...general protection fault in module user.exe at 0007:0000647d" Thanks.

I recently installed a copy of PC Anywhere. I have not tried to use it, but the install listed all versions of windows... I have run a full antivirus check (Norton), I have checked for spyware using Lavasoft's Ad-Adware & Spybot. I have also run a scandisk and thorough disk cleanup. I have not examined the msconfig yet. Is there anything in particual I should look for? Also, what is a "dirty" reinstall? Thanks.
