Error Problem

Ok..I was using the puter and it went black..when I rebooted the message...system has just recovered from a serious error..this is what the error entailed...C:\Documents~1\Owner\Locals~1\Temp\Werd5f8.dir00\Mini042307-01.dmp

Can anyone decipher this and give me exact instructions on how to remedy this..I would be eternally grateful...Jennifer

 

This error shows a problem with a memory dump (an inventory of the contents of computer memory).

My friend experienced a similar problem. The minidump problems somtimes has to do with an oudated video driver.

To solve this just go to start>right-click My Computer>Hardware>and under driver click windows update to check if it is outdated.

You can also click on the Device Manager to check to see if the video driver is having an problems.

A patch is sometimes recommended but we'll make sure that this is your problem.

Seems it is a driver problem, Kasperky seems to be mentioned frequently, and different games. The solution was to enable verifier, to find the driver in question by selecting the drivers to verify. Start, Run, type in verifier , OK. I used this once on an emachine years ago and it slowed the operaing system quite a bit. Someone with more experience than I should help you if you decide to try this route. To terminate the program I selected Delete existing setings.

 

whenver I click on device manger it comes up that you hav eto have Int. Expl. 5.5 or greater...I already have Int. Expl.7...what is the deal??? Jen

 

Guys, I am so at a loss for this problem..I know all of you are trying to help but I guess I am a little thick..is there anything on any site that can help alleviate this thing.. it is driving me nuts..occurs out of the blue..I have registry fix and I run it often..also I try to maintain my computer as best I can with disk clean up and defrag....etc...also have a spyware program..there has got to be something I can tweak to make this go away..Jen
