Error when starting application please help

Everytime i try to start the vodeafone messenger program i get this error


C:\Program Files\Vodafone\Vodafone web phone\DesktopPhone.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

Dont know what to do please help

My os is windows vista ultimate

You might be missing Microsoft Visual C++
Do you know if you have the 32bit or 64bit version of vista ultimate?

Ok, then try the 32bit link I gave above and let us know how it went

 

should i uninstall the messenger first or should i just install the link you gave me?

 

You shouldnt need to uninstall the messenger, so yeah just install Visual C++ from the link

 

same error, uninstalled messenger, installed the file you gave me than installed messenger and still same error

problem is i cant find any other versions, this use to work but one day i tried starting the program and this error popped up
