esp.net

    hello my name is vicki. i am a new member and def not a geek. my next door neighbour stopped me at the gate on my way home fromwork tonight. he thinks his pc has been hacked. another user called esp.net machine user has appeared in his accounts.

    he has switched off his pc and does not know what else to do. neither do i.

    any advice out there would be most gratefully received.

    I guess its ASP.NET over esp.net that he is more talking about as its basically came with a .NET Update and I would imagine they are using Windows XP?

    Info HERE on what it is and how to remove it, but basically its a account for users if they program in .Net which is a programming language from Microsoft, if you dont program in it you can remove the account.

    many thanks for this. it was asp.net and now he knows there is nothing to worry about. he thought he had been hacked and a distant pc was logged on to his machine.
