ethernet cards

are all ethernet cards basically the same like all that are 10/100 about the same or are there some better than others?

 

there may be minor differences, but nothing noticeable enough to make one "better" than another. About the only thing that makes the speed different is if you have an integrated ethernet adapter in your motherboard, as I've noticed that gives slightly better pings (but again, i'm talking maybe 5-10m/s differences).

so basically... Cheaper= better

 

I disagree.

Better quality= less cpu useage, less variance in speed, more useable bandwidth, and more reliability
