Ethernet Controller problem

When I open device manager I find a yelow triangle and exclamation mark alongside the SiS Ethernet controller, the message is
This device cannot start (code 10)
Windows says the best driver is installed.
the file version is 2.0.1039.1640.
the resources tab says this device isn't using any resources because it has a problem.
how do I find out the problem and how do I fix it??
