Am going to replace the ethernet card currently in use in my pc. Am convinced that it is bad because of connectivity issues and the intermittent "clicking" noise (posted under Software questions) that I hear from that area of my pc.
SBC tech told me that I didn't need any specific type of card, but am wondering if it does matter. Looked online at BestBuy and there are so many to choose from that it is confusing.
    Any suggestions?
The pc is a Dell T500 Dimension. I have SBC/DSL with a 5360 Speedstream modem.

any T-base 100 ethernet adapter will do just fine. I am assuming you will be replacing a PCI ethernet adapter, so just be sure the one you buy is also PCI.

and dont pay more than $5- $10 for one. you can VERY often find them for free after a $5 mail in rebate from stores like office depot or staples.
