I found out about it several years ago, by accident. Wonder how many other features we're missing like that?

Pass it on to your 10 year old daughter and hopefully she can fine tune it a bit for me :)

...Or try pressing Ctrl and + or - (on the alpha-numeric keypad), for similar results, in even incriments. (But y'all knew that, I guess).

Once I put my legs on the table while surfing through the net and pressed CTRL accidentally. Then I discovered this feature.:D

Here's another tip - place the mouse pointer over a link for a web page hold the the Shift key and roll the mouse wheel up then you'll go the the link. Once at the new web page shift and roll down will take you back to the previous page (just like the backspace or Alt-left arrow combination) - it doesn't matter on the mouse pointer position for this to work.

Another - Shift+left click over a link will open that link into a new window (maybe a new Tab under IE7 or FF - not sure on that, most likely depending on your settings for opening new windows or tabs).

I have a mouse with back and forward buttons but i am left handed and the mouse is for the right (stupid me when i bought it) so the tip from KEN3 is good for me.:confused

Should have guessed you were also left-handed
Being such a good bloke and all :)

Well and truly worth your while to convert to using your mouse with your right hand
    Does take a while

Now if I try to use the mouse with my left hand again it feels weird :D

I have a 5-button mouse with back / forward buttons, but i never use them - go figure

Speaking of meece, the mouse I use isn't exactly a regular mouse. It's a Marble-FX trackball thingy. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g309/Zobor/marble-fx.gif

Looks a bit strange, and does take a little getting used to, but offers a far greater control over cursor movement, and is ergonomic for people like me with bad wrists, and sore joints. The trackball itself, pops out for easy cleaning and such.
