you feel like selling off everything you own including your house, moving out of state. Taking the profit from your house, buy a smaller one with some land, put the rest of the money inthe bank, get a no stress part time job selling screws and/or fishing bait at the local hardware store and washing your hands of all big city/suburbia bs?

Yeah, I've been looking out of california at some properties.

Simply moving out of California qualifies as "downsizing", even if you get the same size/level of house, with a real yard. Real estate in California is obscene.

Im seriously considering it. Maybe when I get all the house work done I'll change my mind LOL.

Just getting tired of all the crap. Everyone is stressed out all the time, including myself. Everything is a hassle. You pay companies money for things and its almost like you are bothering them for buying stuff. I don't get it. If I could find a small town, get some property away from most people and be able to CRANK my guitar, I would probably be very happy. I dunno, have to see how things go for now. It's nice to dream about it from time to time :D

Yeah, that's sort of alway been my plan B.

If for some reason things didn't work out the way I wanted to, I always figured I'd sell everything I own, move to somwhere where it's really cheap to live, get a Harley and start a new life. Get a real simple job that basically pays the rent and just eat nothing but those Top Ramen noodles. That's it, just me and my Harley.

So far though, things have been going OK. We'll see...

Better still, buy yourself a portable home vehicle. Not one of those bl**dy huge Winniebagos (sp?) or huge caravans, but a 2WD or 4WD campervan (self contained), and tour your country, :D and Canada. ;)

Some specs on 6 different models available in OZ, from just one rental firm. No good for you in the USA, I know, but may stir up the grey brain matter. Bazza

    jarcher I can't handle a title

Did that, only had nothing to sell, got sucked back into my old life(more or less)
I have no regrets. .I went out did what I had to do. .I lived a little, nothing in life every really changes, unless you change. .but thats life. . .

Just have fun with it, no matter where or who you decide to be

if its the B.S. you want to get away from. . .stay out of small towns
everybody knows everybody, and if they don't they talk about them
any those they do know they talk about even more. . it's HS for the rest of your life. .the only thing you can do about that is just let it pass, different BS will pop up now and again(for a varity) at least you wont get bored :)

You're just feeling some deep down guilt for not making me my sandwich! You got the kitchen done, right? So, where's my sandwich? :D

There's a good reason they call it "The Rat Race" in the big cities. I hate it. But the small towns only have different problems. And wherever you go, you'll still have to deal with peaple. There's no escaping em! :)

Hope things slow down for you, Randy. It might be time to sit down and prioritize your projects, your time, your family, etc, and see what can wait till later. Sometimes we get so busy it's just not worth all the fuss.

Ya know Randy, I read your thread the other day and kind of nodded to it but feel I had anything to add until last night when I almost got mashed by a bus on my way home from work. Son of a bitch ran me off the road and didn't even stop. I am so thouroughyl sick and tired of people that the only interaction that I want from them now is via text. I hate people , I really really do. Not dislike.. HATE!

I know exactly how you feel, I drive around alot for my job and I never knew there were that many assholes and idiots out there. They just dont care, its so damn important that they concentrate on their phone call or something else other than driving they dont care if their recklessness costs a life. its absolutely amazing, just amazes me.

I pulled infront of the bus when I caught up to him and stopped infront of him. Admittedly, not a good idea as the bus is vastly larger than my subaru.. but I was just so livid and he was so nonchalant about the whole thing. I could see the expression on his face as if I was putting him out. I swear to god, If It had not been for the fact that cars were lining up behind him (rush hour) , I would have gotten out and kicked the damn door in. I called the coach lines up and they were nasty and defensive.

too bad they don't have a website because I have a whole list of anon proxies.. if you get me.

too bad you dont know his home IP :)

One thing I learned is revenge will get you nowhere. Its good you didnt do that, when I caught my ex with another guy over I did some stuff out of the rage I felt, man ive never felt so enraged in mylife, at that minute I understood what feelings can drive people to kill ( I was with her 5 years and had complete trust in her, I mean COMPLETE trust this came out of blue)

Anyway he threatening court over it but he got no proof. Could have been a lot worse I am glad I controlled myself like I did I had a LOT of adrenelyne I could have kicked his ass very easily and beat his skull in with the surge I had going, I know I wouldnt have felt any pain he inflicted.

But I gained some self control and didnt confront him and left her to rot.

im completely hijacking this thread with this story tho lol.

ill shut up I can go on for hours on this.
