Ever want to quit your job, sell off all your stuff...

and live under a tree in the mountains in a country far far away that doesn't have computers, or phones, or electricity? Today is that day for me. Computers suck, network sucks, people suck, only having 3 hrs of sleep sucks...

I kinda did just that. Quit my job, sold or gave away all my stuff and moved to live under a tree in the mountains in a country far far away from England.....for a while I didn't have a computer and my cellphone didn't work either...........now THAT really did suck!

I know where you work........it's about the network, and who broke it, and who's getting on your butt to fix it.........it happens, and like your sig, the crap can and does at time hit the cooling device.......if the lab's there are like the one's at Solano college, they have white boards on the wall, just take a big black marker, and write out your MG sig on it.........and when somebody's just got to get everything up and running............you can point, and tell em, to wait, just a tad more........wobbles

 

That says it all. Get a couple of good nights sleep and the world won't look quite so grim.

 

Yeah the network really sucks wobbles. We keep losing CMMB's in the core switches and it takes everyone down. Sucky thing is we don't maintain them, district office does, yet we get the brunt of it. I'm about fed up with being an IT Droid. I got vacation built up, thinking its about time to use some of it before I explode.

 

SBC was working on THEIR own network outside our office. Everytime the dude would move the boom truck, the cable line suddenly did not send or receive. The server was then confused so it was /ipconfig renew again and again. I gave up and did work that did not use the net until they were done.

Bah, Jacob was up all night again. Gonna take a shower then see how I feel. I just finished watching Some Kind Of Monster and its making me want to go out and play live again instead of going to work

 

lol.... i did! Quit job, buggered off to Australia (im in uk) and went to stay in Queensland where my son is, but where the 'roo's roam free n the redbacks bite your butt on the dunny! Cue visa problems, woman problems, and having to return to uk problems!
2 years later i remain legally homeless, having no place of residence = unable to open bank account = unable to work = unable to rent!
Develope flu! Take 5 days off, dig out an XBox n blast people on Halo2 across the globe and then go back refreshed! 3 hours of sleep in your own bed is better than not having one to get into! Trust me on this lol!
