Hello, folks. I'm a newbie here, hoping to get some info. A friend on the Wilders forum suggested I download EVEREST Home Edition 2.00.335, in order to be able to monitor parameters. I downloaded it, but when I went to install, found that it wouldn't allow, because my laptop is set up to run at my office also, on a network...therefore, not a home computer. Any ideas how I can overcome this? This is definitely my personal laptop. I just had it set up for use at the office so I could use my own apps.
I'd appreciate any help you can offer.
    Thanks,

There are two different files one exe. and one zip. Download the zip file to a new folder you have made then unzip it there and run it from there with no instalation necessary. You don't need to install the program. Don't know if this is what you need but give ia a try=nothing to lose.

    Den-
Thanks for the response. I don't see the option between the .exe and .zip files. The only option presented is a .exe app. Where did you see this?

Doc, I tried the download link, and like you wasn't given the option of exe. or zip, only exe. The zip file is on Everest's homepage. Hope this helps, and welcome to MajorGeeks! :)

I checked out the new version and decided to stay with the previous one I already had (V. 1.51.195). All they seem to have added is support for some newer hardware (I'm on a 5 year old computer), and they took out 4 items: Operating System, Server, Software, and Config. I'm glad I checked on the Lavalys forum before I dumped the older version.

Thanks for latest info. Maybe we should have both on our PC and run them to see what other differences. One I thought I noticed was that CPU temps no longer appear, only HDD temps.

Thanks for the link, Major Attitude! I've got in on board now, but given what you guys have found, I think I'll wait a bit to run it. CPU temp was one thing I was particularly interested in monitoring. Anybody know if the old version is still available anywhere in a .zip version?

I installed the new version on one of my pc's, it seemed to have all the previous features, I'll have to look again???

When ever I find a good program or download good utility, I always back it up.
Sometimes its difficult to go back to previous version if it's not available.

I found this information on the Lavalys forum first, then I confirmed it on my own. So it's not just me! I haven't had time to do a really thorough comparison yet, if I find anything else that's interesting I'll let you know.
