Evga 8800gtx Or Bfg 8800gtx

Wich one would you pick? and in what way are they different?

 

on newegg: hardware wise, they are exactly the same except that the eVGA one can output composite video. BFG usually overclocks their cards but apparently thats not the case with these. The eVGA one comes with Dark Messiah while the BFG one comes with a t-shirt If u have a choice tho, id go with an XFX one; double lifetime warranty and just a great card manufacturer. Its really up to u, one isnt better than the other

I would recommend EVGA. I know that BFG always overclock their Video Cards. Overclocked thing are sometimes unstable, thats why I wouldn't recommend it. If you want a fast one go with BFG, but it would corrupt easier. I had a BFG and it took 5 months til it broke. 5 Months!!!!! And really there is no diffrence when I see it. It only matters what you like. And the BFG overclocks.

 

NOTE: NVidia recalled ALL the 8800GTS cards before they even hit the shelves due to a faulty resistor. They said the GTX cards were not affected but I'd be a bit leary seeing as these are a brand new release of new technology which can be a bit flakey at first.... Just thought you'd like to know....

Great to know hmmmm ! should I be worreid about my 8800GTX

 

eVga for a few reasons.

A real double lifetime warranty
Stepup program (if the 8900 comes out in 90 days you can save money and trade in your 8800+ some money for it)

Also there will be no pre Oc'd cards for awhile, Nvidia on the first and 2nd batch is banning ocing, also all cards are made by Asus this go around so hardware wise there all identical.

OK... I got it backward... the GTX cards were recalled, not the GTS. Be sure to ask your vendor about this BEFORE purchasing the card to save the headache of having to return it and dealing with downtime due to no video. Here's the link about the recall:
