Simply staggers the imagination.

 

This is the sort of thing that happens in a B grade horror movie and you never expect that it could happen in real life.............I hope that when parents are incarcerated they get a really hard time in prison and this will give them something to reflect on for the rest of their lives. This is much worse than that German guy Fritzel who kept his daughter in the cellar all those years.

How can this happen in modern society????

Best wishes to the children and I hope they get proper psychiatric treatment and support as I am sure they will have a lifetime of nightmares reliving their ordeal and I would think they will find it difficult to ever trust anyone again.....it is really sad for those kids

 

They should chain them and feed them once every 3 days. Why would they have 13 kids and then not take care of them?

 

I can only ditto what Joffa posted. It is incomprehensible that one human being can do that to another. I am wordless.

 

Just found this article....looks like the parents have been doing this for a long time as people who moved into the previous places they lived have come forward saying how there were scratch marks on the doors, everything was generally filthy and the wardrobes had been turned into cages.

Surely the neighbours would have seen signs of child abuse/neglect sufficient to report the parents to the authorities!? Problem in most cases, when people see such oddities, they prefer to remain quiet rather than get involved - wrong!

 

I think in cases like this if neighbors knew something was wrong and didn't report it they should be help responsible in some way. Id I suspected that kids were being harmed and I didn't report it and then later found out something like this was happening I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.

 

So tragic for the children! The parents are psychotic! Unimaginable that no one suspected anything was going on.

 

More distressing news.... specialists examining the kids are saying they have been starved for so long that their brains haven't properly developed and their bodies have metabololised a lot of their muscle mass so they are all physically weak and they have low bone strength because they are always kept inside out of sunshine so have low vitamin D......the 29 year old woman only weighed 37kg............the police found two dogs that were in perfect health and very well fed meaning the dogs were fed better than the kids......disgusting.....those poor kids

I am not usually a vindictive person but in this case, I hope the parents have a very long and extremely uncomfortable life so they have plenty of time for reflection on the evil they perpetrated on their own children

 

I can't post what I would like to see done to those so-called 'parents'.

 

Evil exists. I hope that in time the children recover, and with support start to live normal lives.

 

I do too but I doubt they'll ever be able to fully recover. They'll probably never fully trust adults again either.
