This is NOT Photoshopped. It lives up the road from me, I don't know the how's, what's, who's or why's, but it's there, and it's bright pink!

The fact Star17 posted in this thread means it is surreal.

Hey that's one of my Christmas decorations. It was stolen from my front lawn.

 

It looks like it *may* have been heavily sprayed with an antifungal treatment,
but the tree already looks dead to me.

Probably a prank.

 

The picture quality is good enough that you can zoom in and see new branches sprouting - as I recall there is a fungicide with a metal in it that is about that color - Phantom would probably know, as a chemist.

Zinc derivative ? Not copper.

 

It looks like all the other leafless trees this time of year. Apart from its colour, obviously

Interesting theory on the antifungal thing though, hopefully Phantom will stumble by to enlighten us.

Aw, I was being a bit more positive and looking at it as 'art'.
IF it is paint, and it's not dead wood, I hope the used a water based paint, there's not going to be many leaves sprouting through gloss..

 

Hmmm, I dunno - you don't see pink trees too often. LOL

 

Copper is the green one (Vis Copper oxide, etc.)

Not sure it is a fungicide, looks way too pink to me. The red fungicide I had in mind is more of a brownish red.

If it's not P.S.'ed, then it just looks like pink paint. imo.
