okay im still working on the same computer. and its running SLOW.

I also see this Winlogon Notify: WgaLogon - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WgaLogon.dll file that im not sure about???

These the changes I made to my system in the last few days that I can think of that may have caused a problem? My daughter installed her IPOD software, however, it doesnt work, we dont have 2.0 USB ports, we have 1.0, so I dont think its that.

I downloaded DriverDetective to update my drivers (thinking it would fix the USB problem) and that detected that I needed to download some drivers, NVIDIA for one and SOUNDLBASTER for the other. Im thinking these bugs came that ??

Please see my log attached. Thanks so much!! I dont know what I would do without this website and the expertise here. So many other sites cannot be trusted and just want you to buy their software which comes with more adware it seems.

Slow computer syndrome is typically a matter of what you are running and your PC's specs. It is less frequently a malware problem.

This is Windows Genuine Advantage from Microsoft.

If you cannot use it, why is it still installed. See your HJT log.

You know the drill! No logs without running the READ ME. In addition, you must not use msconfig to control startups like you are doing. However your problems are more than likely not malware. Especially if it is still running slow with the setup shown in your HJT log. You have very little running. Not even an antivirus nor an an antispyware program. You are heading towards malware problems if you keep running like this.

Re: Ewido? or Keylogger? TO CHASALANG

    hi

i had zone alarm security suite running

    is that not sufficient?

are you saying I should also have an antispyware or antivirus running?

the Zone alarm security suite has antivirus built into it

also i use AdAdware and do daily scans.

    Is this okay?
    Please advise

I'm not sure whay you are asking these two questions. What does that have to do with what I posted.

You did not address my comment about iPod software still being loaded.

Well because you said I had very little running in the quote above, no antivirus or anti spyware but I have Zone Alarm Security Suite and that has an antivirus built in and spyware built in. So I was asking is this not sufficient and was wondering why you didnt see it running in my log?

Also the IPOD is still installed because I am planning on installing 2.0 USB ports to the computer, so she can use the IPOD and IPOD software. Do you think I should uninstall that? Not sure what you mean. Thanks.

Sorry about that. I guess I was blind at the time. I also keep forgetting that isafe.exe is an antivirus program.

It may actually be better to uninstall it and reinstall it after getting your USB 2 ports installed but that's up to you. It may work just fine.

    okay chas thanks for that.

I do have another question, because Im very leary of spyware of keyloggers, as i had on the in past.

Should i have the following folders on my system? They just appeared out of nowhere.

    C:\DOCUMENTSANDSETTING\NETWORK SERVICE
    and
    C:\DOCUMENTSANDSETTINGS\LOCAL SERVICE ??

i dont have a network setup, just a router and my son plugs his playstation into it sometimes. and I have never seen these folders. Inside these folders at NT user data files.

    Thanks.

Yes they are valid and part of your Windows OS. Note there is no space between the words either.

    See the below:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dllproc/base/networkservice_account.asp

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dllproc/base/networkservice_account.asp

Some software will even create folders here too.
